On the morning of August 27, 2024, the senior leadership of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Education Group accompanied Dato’ Salehuddin, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, and Professor Ekhwan, President of UKM (The National University of Malaysia), on a visit to Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). They were warmly received by Dr. Joseph Lee, Vice Chancellor and President of MUST, Dr. Helen Leong, Associate Vice President and Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, Dr. Ivy Chu, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Mr. Wei Wong, Administrative Director of the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Center.
The delegation visited the MUST History and Achievements Exhibition Hall, gaining an in-depth understanding of the university's development journey, background, and accomplishments. During the formal meeting, both parties introduced the recent developments of their respective institutions and exchanged views on future growth and collaboration opportunities.

President Joseph Lee of MUST extended a warm welcome to Dato’ Salehuddin and Professor Ekhwan. Dato’ Salehuddin expressed his hope that this visit would establish connections with MUST and open avenues for exploring collaboration opportunities. Professor Ekhwan noted that both universities share similar goals in international development and expressed a desire to leverage their respective strengths to engage in robust collaboration. He encouraged the two institutions to pursue multi-dimensional partnerships in areas such as student exchanges, academic programs, and research initiatives.
